Pick-A-Photo Tuesday: Palace Clown

This photo is of a clown that was on the side of the now torn down Palace building in Asbury Park. I colorized it with Nick Bantock Dye Inks, aged it with Distress Ink, crumpled it and roughed it up with sandpaper.

  1. I remember seeing that on the side of the Place years ago and it's too bad they couldn't have preserved that building. I haven't been there in a while. Are they fixing up Asbury Park at all do you know? Great picture by the way. I like the way you added a few touches to it. :)

  3. Yes, they really are fixing up Asbury Park! Cookman Avenue is now filled with art galleries, cool shops, and wonderful restaurants. The boardwalk is really coming along with new businesses (and old) including a glass blowing studio. The old Howard Johnsons has been refurbished to house a restaurant downstairs and a supper club upstairs. And Convention Hall and the Paramount are in full swing all year long... and there are a couple of new bars/restaurants and shops in the arcade that joins the two together.
