Nice To Meet Me...

Inspired by the movie Coraline, I have decided to make my own "me" doll. In the movie, Wybie brings Coraline a doll he found in his Grandma's attic... and it looks just like her! So I'm making one that will look like me. Since I don't have a sewing machine, or much experience sewing... it may take a while. But I want it to look hand made, so it's all good. So happy to feel inspired again. It's been too long! I'll take you along the journey as my doll makes progress...

  1. thank you SOOOO much for putting this up!! i fell in love with Coraline when i first read the book and couldn't wait for the movie! when i finally saw it (several months after it was in the movie theater) i had to get myself a 'Little Me' doll. i searched and searched and the only results i got were dolls that cost WAY too much! I made your version of the 'Little Me' doll and am so grateful! but how did you make the sweater. i tried and it just frayed. thank you,

  2. Kendra,

thanks so much for your sweet comments! I made the sweater from one of my old sweaters. I used "Liquid Stitch" glue to attach at the seams and rubbed a little of the glue along the edges to keep it from fraying.

I'd love to see what you made if you'd like to e-mail me!
